The Situation
This project marked a fresh chapter for a client seeking a home that reflected both comfort and personal renewal. Together, Sapphire explored several properties in his ideal Lake Oswego location, evaluating remodel potential and budgets before he selected a charming 80+ year-old bungalow along one of the city's scenic canals. While the home possessed undeniable character, it had undergone multiple remodels over the years, resulting in a mix of styles and finishes.
The Work
Through Curation, Sapphire identified which elements of the home could be preserved and enhanced, honoring its history while establishing a cohesive design direction. In Transformation, key spaces were subtly renovated and reimagined — improving layout, lighting, and functionality while introducing refined materials that brought clarity and harmony to the interiors. During Manifestation, every detail was thoughtfully executed: finishes, lighting, furnishings, and spatial planning.
The Result
The result is a home that feels entirely personal: a modern sanctuary that celebrates its bungalow roots while supporting the client's lifestyle today. A hallway that once collected dust now stores a curated wine collection. Nothing wasted. Everything considered.
